What’s the point of iPad if you build it into a netbook?
The iPad, increasing in popularity day by day, is a natural target for accessory manufacturers. There’s something that makes me wonder, though. Take a new docking device (for want of a better term) called ZAGGmate as an example. According to the sales copy, the keyboard version “only adds about 1/4 of an inch to the iPad”. All fine and well, but doesn’t that begin to approach the slimmest netbooks on the market? Netbooks that feature a whole lot more user comfort, have a whole lot more computing power and run a whole lot more applications than the iPad? Wasn’t the iPad supposed to be the device for the immediate future as such? I’m mystified. Feel free to educate me in the comments!
