To help you decide if I’m a good fit for the particular project you’re thinking about, I have collected some copywriting, editing and transcreation work samples on this page. I’ll add to the list regularly, so check back!

Copywriting

Codento is a Finnish software developer based in Helsinki and specialising in providing solutions for business requirements through software development. They recently renewed their web presence. I wrote Codento’s new website in both English and Finnish.

Tieto Corporation is one of the leading IT service companies in Northern Europe. For their R&D department, I wrote a brochure and technical description for a new software development toolkit The Engineering Toolbox, both available on this Tieto webpage. (Note that some changes may have occurred since.) For their Financial Services business, I wrote a brochure about a comprehensive administration system specifically designed for insurance companies called the Life Insurance Solution (loads in an on-screen reader, may take a while).

Editing

Wärtsilä Corporation is the internationally known manufacturer of power solutions for the marine and energy markets. I have edited many of their marketing and guideline materials. One of the most recent editing jobs is this ship design brochure titled The Best Marine Design by Humans.

Mervento, a Finnish wind turbine manufacturer, needed a quick editing job on the brochure for their new 3.6-118 turbine for an international trade fair. Done.

Transcreation and adaptation (localisation)

Alma Media is Finland’s second-largest media group. Besides their press releases, stock exchange releases, parts of their intranet and various other internal communication materials, I have transcreated several annual and interim reports from Finnish into English, the most recent of which is the Interim Report Q1/2012 (pdf 0.5Mb).

Climecon is a Finnish building technology company developing, producing and marketing high quality air supply devices, dampers and balancing plenum boxes. Over the past couple of years, I have written, edited and transcreated a number of their international marketing materials, here exemplified by the LINO supply air diffuser brochure (pdf 2.5Mb) transcreated from Finnish. In addition to pdf and print materials, I also wrote their website in both Finnish and English: Climecon—Indoor Climate Specialist.
